The COLOR WOW Color Security Shampoo is the foundation of the Color Security line and was specially developed for coloured hair. Its task is to thoroughly cleanse the hair while minimising the loss of colour pigments – two goals that often conflict with conventional shampoos. This is achieved through a carefully selected blend of surfactants. Instead of harsh sulfates, the formula relies on Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate and Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate – a gentle combination based on amino acids and coconut derivatives that cleanses without stripping the hair of its colour. To maintain the integrity of the hair fibre, the formula includes hydrolysed wheat proteins, hydrolysed wheat starch and hydrolysed keratin. These ingredients bond to damaged areas, enhancing resistance to breakage – particularly important for hair that has already been compromised by colouring. Moisture is provided by Glycerin and Sodium PCA, while Tocopheryl Acetate acts as an antioxidant. Polyquaternium-22 ensures the hair does not become staticky after washing and is easier to comb through. The 250 ml bottle is the standard size for everyday home use. Wet hair thoroughly, apply a hazelnut-sized amount to palms and massage the shampoo into the scalp using fingertips. Allow the lather to work through the lengths of the hair and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with the matching Color Security Conditioner.
