The COLOR WOW Color Security Shampoo is the foundation of the Color Security line and was developed specifically for colour-treated hair. Its task is to thoroughly cleanse the hair while minimising colour pigment loss – two goals that often conflict with conventional shampoos. This is achieved through a carefully selected surfactant blend. Instead of harsh sulfates, the formula relies on Sodium Methyl 2-Sulfolaurate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, and Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate – a gentle combination based on amino acids and coconut derivatives that cleanses without stripping colour. To maintain hair fibre integrity, hydrolysed wheat proteins, hydrolysed wheat starch, and hydrolysed keratin are incorporated. These bind to damaged areas, enhancing resistance to breakage – especially important for hair already compromised by colouring. Moisture is provided by Glycerin and Sodium PCA, while Tocopheryl Acetate acts as an antioxidant, and Polyquaternium-22 ensures hair remains static-free and easy to comb after washing. The 75 ml size is ideal for travel or trying the product. Wet hair thoroughly, apply a hazelnut-sized amount to palms, and massage into the scalp with fingertips. Allow the lather to work through the lengths before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with the matching Color Security Conditioner.
